ERIC JONES – AUTHOR

ERIC JONES is a PGA Class “A” teaching professional and a two-time winner of the World Long Drive Championship. A former player and Assistant Coach at Stanford University, he is one of the few PGA professionals holding a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology. His innovative approach to instruction and coaching led to him being named the 2014 PGA Teacher of the Year in Northern California.

An accomplished competitor, Eric won the World Long Drive Champion Senior title in 2003, and the Super-Senior title in 2012. Along the way he captured the 2004 Rookie of the Year honors on the LDA Long Drive Tour, and in 2006 became the only long driver to simultaneously win both the Senior and Open division titles at the Players Tour Long Drive Championship.
As the founder of the Eric Jones Golf Academy, his Golf Coach Program has received national attention for its unique approach to teaching the whole game, not just swing mechanics, and for its effectiveness with students of all levels. The Academy conducts programs for both juniors and adults year-round.

Eric is the author of multiple game improvement golf books, including: “The 5 Keys To Distance”, “The Practice Effect”, “Radar For Golf”, and the “Strategic Golf” series. He has also developed numerous online training programs which are available at iGolfU.com. He has published more than 100 articles on golf and is a contributor to the popular “A Lesson Learned” for the PGA of America.

Eric is a frequent keynote speaker at trade and industry events, including the Northern California Golf Expo. He is a member of the Flightscope Academy teaching faculty and serves on the board of advisors for several golf-related companies, including Game Golf and The Golf Slot Machine.

Eric is passionate about helping all people learn and enjoy their golf game and he brings a unique perspective to his craft. As a world class athlete he understands what it takes to compete and excel at the highest levels and he revels in using his experience to help students reach their own highest level of performance regardless of their age or skill level.
